Jesus said: blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Dr. Pedro Moretti Guedes, wherever you are, do not forget us, for we will love you here on Earth forever. And we will never forget a person who was and will be so special in our lives: the doctor of body and soul.

Message to the eternal Dr. Pedro Moretti Guedes

Dr. Pedro was always a clinician and surgeon who practised his profession for more than 45 years in offices and hospitals. He treated patients from several regions of the State of São Paulo and, above all, the people of Campo Limpo, in the south.

Dr. Pedro treated patients with great love and care and did not mind their class, high or low. What mattered to him was the patient's recovery, for he treated everyone alike, with a big smile on his lips.

When patients arrived at his clinic, the receptionist would let him know, and he came straight away to greet the person with a hug and a warm joy. He saw everyone in the office to classical music, soft as a breeze, that calmed the patients' hearts.

Sometimes we didn't even need medicine: your attention and your words alone healed us, for he had the patience to listen to each one, never forgetting the coffee or tea he offered everyone, with great care.

This was, and will continue to be, our doctor of body and soul, forever.

Public post on Instagram, on Pedro's birthday. Excerpts.

Today, 10 September, the illustrious Doctor Pedro Moretti Guedes would have had his birthday, and it is the moment to thank this wonderful human being. An excellent doctor, who knew how to put altruism, a listening spirit and the welcoming of patients into practice, and a great friend. Doctor Pedro was my English student, an excellent student, and allowed himself to be my great friend, always ready to help everyone with love and dedication.

As few doctors have the wisdom to do, Doctor Pedro knew how to be truly simple, without being blinded by status or the power of knowledge, nor limited by protocols: always open to the new, aiming at the patient's well-being through a warm and humane welcome. What impressed me most was that he did not talk about spirituality, but lived it in practice, in his gentlemanly way.

Much longing and gratitude to our dear Doctor Pedro, who will live forever in my heart and in my family's.
