Memory with affection. History with care.
The memorial separates what came from the family archive, what appears in public sources and what still needs confirmation.
Birth certificate (1935)
Drawn up in the Bom Retiro district, São Paulo, on 26 September 1935, stamped by the State Railway Workers' Fund. Source for the date of birth and the names of parents and grandparents. The certificate records the birth in the district itself; the family gives Piracicaba as his hometown, and the memorial adopts the family's version while recording the divergence.
Family record sheets
Typed and handwritten pages assembled by the family with dates, photographs and the death notice: 17 February 2010, in Bragança Paulista, aged 74 years and 5 months.
Reminiscences of a Doctor (2008)
Family compilation dated 18 October 2008. Main source for stories, quotes, cases and clippings.
Photo archive
Thirty-one photographs and sixteen documents digitised by the family, including business card, clinic advertisement and CPOR graduation.
Handwritten tributes (2010)
Message read at the seventh-day mass (Campo Limpo, 25 Feb 2010) and "Message to the eternal Dr. Pedro", signed Clínica da Alma. Transcribed on the tributes page.
Diário Popular (1998)
Report "Doctor has served the neighbourhood for 30 years", preserved in the book, used to reconstruct the relationship with Campo Limpo.
Jornal Zona Sul (1992–2008)
Articles signed by Pedro, preserved as clippings. The clippings are yet to be digitised.
Public CRM lookup
Public sources associate Pedro Moretti Guedes with CRM-SP 12002, matching the business card in the archive.
Osasco Official Gazette (29 Apr 2005)
Municipal publication lists Pedro Moretti Guedes among the city's physicians.
Folha de S.Paulo (2010–2011)
Memorial notices record celebrations in Pedro's memory in Campo Limpo and elsewhere.
Public testimony (Instagram)
Post by a former English teacher of Pedro's, on a 10 September, quoted on the tributes page. The image is not reproduced.
How we treat what we do not yet know
When something is documented, it is presented as fact. When it rests on family memory not yet confirmed, it is treated as memory. When sources differ, such as the house number on Rua Anhaia (96 on the certificate, 306 on the family sheet), we record both.
The father's name appears as "José Anthero Guedes" on the family sheet; on the certificate, which is hard to read, the spelling looks different. We adopt the family sheet's form.
