Water, technique and discipline.
Another side of Pedro: coach, student of the sport and member of the Technical Council of the São Paulo Swimming Federation.

It began at the edge of the pool.
An old photograph shows a young Pedro in swim trunks, sitting on the edge of a pool with three friends, the diving board behind. The header of an article from the same period identifies him as "Swimming Coach", "Member of the Technical Council of the São Paulo Swimming Federation" and a second-year student on the Quartermaster course, which matches the CPOR graduation recorded in the archive.
What he wrote about swimming
The text discusses buoyancy, learning, the age to start, safety, cramps, rescue and the benefits of the sport. Pedro tells of teaching adults of different ages to swim. For him, swimming was technique, health, safety and education.
It is the same way of writing as in his medical articles: explain a subject directly and try to make it useful to whoever reads it.
Felipe Guedes did not grow up with his father. He knows Pedro through the stories, and loves him for them. What he keeps most is the doctor who treated for free those who could not pay: a way of looking at people, not at money, that Felipe carries with him.
